About

Heeeello to anyone that has magically, by magically I mean through the power that is the internet, come across this blog.
I'm starting this with the intention to provide product reviews and swatches to anyone looking for them. Nothing irritates me more when there aren't swatches of some product I'm looking into and I have to go in and buy it with the hope that it's not complete rubbish. Hopefully I can alleviate some of that stress for you people. Enjoy!

Maybelline: Roller Color in 14KT Shimmer

The Breakdown

Brand-Maybelline

Color- Roller Color in 14KT Shimmer

Packaging- A little tube with a roller ball end.

Thoughts- So no joke, this stuff is weird. I thought I hated it, but now that I figured out how to work with it, it's not so bad.

The shade itself is a nice yellow gold, that is not too bright. The texture of the product was a surprise to me, it felt more like glitter than it did a powder shadow. To be honest, when I bought it, I thought it was a liquid-to-powder formula, but it was straight up powder.

The application was patchy, but I found that if you point the roller ball end toward the floor and shake it up and down, you can get a denser amount of product onto your lid. The applicator is large though, so this is obviously not for those who want precise application.

Overall- I thought this would be nice for an out the door pop of color, but that's not really how this product works. Its best used as a source for gold sparkle over shadows. The application is alright once you get used to it, but I was hoping for a little more in terms of possible uses.

Star Rating- 2.5/5...I can't get over how hard it is to use.

Maybelline: Instant Age Rewind Double Face Perfector in Medium

The Breakdown
Brand-Maybelline

Color- Instant Age Rewind Double Face Perfector in Medium

Packaging- Double ended tube with a sponge tip applicator on the concealer end and a brush on the highlight side.

Thoughts- This product has grown on me. I was looking for a drugstore concealer to use so that I wouldn't go through my MAC Select Cover-up too quickly so I found this via hours of YouTube research. I was NOT a fan in the beginning, originally I thought it was too cakey and thick and I hated it.  I had just started with using concealer and it turns out all of my dislike was due to my inability to apply concealer correctly.

The concealer end is holds a thick, but liquid, concealer. Unfortunately the product doesn't come in many colors (four, I think) so I lucked out when 'Medium' was good enough for me. It ever there was a time that 'a little goes a long way' should be applied, it should be with this. If you're not careful, it will cake up in no time.

The highlighter end is somewhat tricky. It's meant for under the eyes but it does nothing but settle in creases and look caked on. I don't like it at all, either this is the wrong texture for an under eye brightener or it should be advertised as a liquid face illuminator. Regardless, I'm not liking it.

Overall- The concealer itself is nice, but the highlighter isn't all that great. For the price you pay, I don't think it is worth buying a product that is only half-good.

Star Rating- 2/5, The concealer is nice but just not a very good value.

e.l.f.: Natural Radiance Blusher in Glow

The Breakdown

Brand-e.l.f.

Color- Natural Radiance Blusher in Glow

Packaging- This horrible, the-person-who-designed-this-should-be-fired sliding plastic packaging

Thoughts-

The color starts off as a nice delicate peach with a slight shimmer, though as you layer the product it does become more pink against the skin (as seen in the swatches). It takes very little of the product to achieve the peach color so it is great value for money (c'mon, it's only $1!!!!)

Overall- I can't believe how much I liked this blush. I got it simply because the e.l.f. site was having this massive sale and I wanted to try a peachy colored blush since some of my YouTube research has stated that peach blushes go well with tanned asian skin. I especially grab for this if I'm going with a darker eye, just to bring a bit of light to my face. It really does give a lively glow.

Star Rating- 4.5/5...Love it, I only wish it was available at Targets instead of just online.

Sorry about the lighting, it was washing my skin and the blush out.
